These super simple spook-tacular Halloween snack ideas will be fun for all your party guests.

Pumpkin Veggie Tray

One of our clever readers came up with this boo-rific idea!

What you’ll need:

  • A large serving tray or cutting board
  • 1 large bag of baby carrots
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 1 carton of your favorite veggie dip
  • Ramekins or small bowls

How To:

  1. Create an outline for your pumpkin by laying some of the carrots out in an oblong circle. Once the carrot outline is to your liking, carefully fill in the circle with the rest of the carrots.
  2. Remove enough of the carrots to create a cucumber-filled smile. Set the carrots you removed on top of the other carrots within your pumpkin.
  3. Place halved cucumber slices in the space you created for your carrot pumpkin’s smile.
  4. Fill your ramekins with the veggie dip and shimmy them into place where you want the pumpkin’s eyes and nose to be.
  5. Slice off the stem of the broccoli head. Place the broccoli at the top of your pumpkin.

Mini Pepperoni Pizza Pumpkin Faces

Thanks to Renee Bell of Lebanon, Connecticut for sharing this fun jack-o’-lantern recipe! “I prepared these for my daughter’s daycare party. Even the picky eaters loved them and ate every bite!”

What you’ll need:

  • 1 package of English muffins
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 package of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Approximately 20 slices of pepperoni

How To:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Separate English muffins into 12 halves and place on ungreased baking sheet. Spread desired amount of pizza sauce on each half. Sprinkle each half with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is mostly melted.
  2. While the English muffins bake, slice each piece of pepperoni into quarters, and then slice off the curved edge of each pepperoni quarter, creating a triangle.
  3. Remove the English muffins from the oven and place pepperoni triangles on each one, forming eyes and a nose. Use the curved edge scraps of pepperoni to create a zigzagged mouth.
  4. Return the English muffins to the oven and bake for 7-10 minutes, or until hot.

Witch’s Delight Snack Mix

Sharon Delaney-Chronis of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin sends this bewitching snack mix. “This makes a fun gift. Just place the mix in clear jars or containers and make a label listing all the ‘creepy’ ingredients. When using a jar, I draw on a black witch hat and spiders with a permanent marker.”

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup small corn chips (butterfly wings)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut (cobwebs)
  • 1/2 cup red jelly beans (wild berries)
  • 1/2 cup raisins (ants)
  • 1/2 cup doughnut shaped oat cereal (owl rings)
  • 1/2 cup candy-coated chocolates (colored flies)
  • 1/2 cup chow mein noodles (earthworms)
  • 1/2 cup peanuts (squirrels’ nuts)
  • 1/2 cup mini pretzels (bat bones)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower kernels (birdseed)

How To:

    1. Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl.
    2. Store in an airtight container. Tape a list on to the container of just the creepy ingredients (consider using shaky-looking handwriting or a spooky font). Check out our collection of fun Halloween food ideas.
